About Resource Rural:

Resource Rural is a new national initiative to bring philanthropic funding to rural organizations so that they can work directly with rural communities to help them identify priorities, develop projects, access federal funding, successfully implement projects, and build local community capacity in the process.

Resource Rural’s storytelling program highlights the people in small towns, cities, and Native Nations who are working to use federal funding to make good things happen in their communities. Resource Rural works directly with local organizations to identify stories and talk with local people to hear in their own voice why they’ve taken on this work and what they’ve achieved in their community. By documenting and sharing these stories, Resource Rural ensures that communities and local people see that their contributions are recognized and valued, and that more people learn about the inspiring ways in which rural and Indigenouspeople are using federal investments to make the places they live in and love stronger.
